Clipper holder.
Named after the God of iron, war, craftsmanship and technology.
Children of the Mother Tree are miniature handheld vessels of fire. Each clipper holder carries the essence of the Mother Tree while taking on its own shape, markings, and personality. Like queer lineage, they are not replicas but continuations: related, divergent, and alive with difference.
I chose lighters because fire is intimate and communal. It is used to light candles, burn incense, spark ritual and conversation, pleasure, prayer, rest etc... My identity manifests my interest in how care and survival often live in small, everyday objects. These lighter holders are meant to be held, passed around, relied on—living in pockets, homes, and shared moments just like queer lives and stories!
They honour the idea that lineage doesn’t have to be grand to be sacred. Even the smallest descendants carry memory, spirit, and the power to ignite something new.
